About Executive Mental Health’s Telehealth Service

Founded in 1996 by Ari Kalechstein, Ph.D., Executive Mental Health (EMH) is a provider of clinical psychology and neuropsychology services. Since 2020, EMH has used Telehealth to provide remote assessment and treatment of the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional conditions of patients without leaving their home or care facility. EMH offers TeleHealth services using a HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing platform which allows patients, residents’ family members, and skilled nursing facility management.

About the Telehealth Medical Assistant Role:

As an essential part of the care team, the Telehealth Medical Assistant (TMA) acts as a ‘Telehealth Concierge’ and ensures residents receive the quality care they need from the clinicians while respecting social distancing and safety measures. An extension of the clinical team, the TMA’s coordinate the visits to the patients, take the Telehealth tablet from room to room, and offer a warm interface before the doctor begins their therapy session.

The TMA’s work in close collaboration with EMH clinicians, liaisons, and facility staff. The liaisons work with TMA’s to build rapport with Skilled Nursing faculty, sweep for referrals, and identify new possible patients to service.
