We are seeking Clinical Psychologists to provide psychological services to our contracted skilled nursing facilities across CA, including Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino, North County / San Diego, and the Bay Area.

As a clinical psychologist at EMH, you will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team. We focus on providing clinicians with the tools needed to succeed in their roles. You will work directly with a trained clinical manager and the support team to enhance your skill set and experience working with this complex population.

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat residents in skilled nursing facilities. You will have the opportunity to provide mental health services to a diverse and medically complex population, including geriatric patients, patients with disabilities, and those with complex psychiatric histories.
  • Maintain an active caseload and work with the team to maintain a referral stream.
  • Develop relationships with facility staff and provide consultation e.g. curbside consult, in-services as needed, etc.
  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
  • Document-based on medical necessity and in accordance with Medicare standards.

  • Home office setup, including a laptop computer, all in one printer, supplies, and I.T. support.
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D., PsyD) in Clinical Psychology (required)
  • Current and valid California state license as a Psychologist (required)
  • Medicare Provider eligibility (required, our in-house billing team assists with this)
  • Ability to be placed on 3rd party insurer panels (required, we assist with this process)
  • Strong clinical background in evidence-based practices
  • Telehealth experience and/or willingness to learn and utilize modality
  • Flexibility in clinical approach. Clinicians need to be able to use evidence-based interventions and deliver them using a person-centered approach.
  • Proficiency in the assessment and documentation of risk.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, which includes the capacity to complete progress notes in a timely manner and to make use of computer tools to remain organized.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities. Excellent insight and judgment, ability to take initiative to problem-solve issues, and seek out clinical consultation when appropriate.
  • Interest in learning different models of care. Openness to constructive feedback and ability to implement feedback in a collaborative and timely manner.
  • Able to push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds on an intermittent basis; able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, and walk without restrictions.
  • Must have access to a professional space for telehealth sessions as well as a reliable internet connection.
