I am delighted to share my positive experience with Executive Mental Health and their support for our facility, Corona Post Acute. Introduced to this exceptional group by our esteemed Administrator, Gurprit Dhaliwal, I’ve had the pleasure of closely collaborating with their liaisons, who skillfully led their team through our MDS audit for schizophrenia. From the outset, it was evident that the group has crafted a program that sets the standard for excellence in mental health support for the skilled nursing communities.
Dr. Po Lu, Dr. Earl Thorndyke and Dr. Omar Mahmood, EMH neuropsychologists, have been instrumental in providing clarity and guidance regarding patients diagnosed with various forms of psychosis, specifically schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder. Their expertise and attention to detail in documenting specific criteria under the CMS regulations have been outstanding. Their thorough documentation ensures compliance and facilitates the delivery of individualized care, treatment, and discharge planning tailored to our patients’ unique needs.
Their collaborative approach, exemplified by the coordination between their doctors and psychiatrist, Dr. Brian Wu, ensures that patients receive treatment aligned with their clarified diagnosis. This cohesive teamwork streamlines the process and enhances the quality of care provided to our residents. I would like to extend special credit to Ms. Penelope for her outstanding leadership throughout the audit process. Her efforts in ensuring timely submission of documentation have been instrumental in our success.
